At the beginning of the 19th century, the definitive town was designed, located on the eastern side of the hill with the church. Two main roads were laid out, the current Calle de Sant Jaume and the Paseo de S´Alamera that was dominated by, and continues to be, by a magnificent public building built as a barracks for the Civil Guard and for the Town Hall. Currently, the entire building is the headquarters of the Town Hall Santa Eulària des Riu.
